Eileen Marie Makejew of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at. She was 59 years old. Eileen was born June 25, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Robert Davis and the late Irma Davis (nee - Knaack).
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late John Alex Makejew; devoted mother of John R. Makejew and his wife Christine, and Jason M. Makejew and his wife Heather. She was also survived by her granddaughters Rylie and Audrey. She also leaves behind her beloved cat Paddy.
Eileen attended Cardinal Dougherty and graduated in the class of 1982. She was proud to be an involved member of the school Drill Team, a highlight being that she marched in front of Pope John Paul II when he visited Philadelphia in 1979.
Eileen worked for Shop Rite for over 20 years. She was the swiss army knife of the grocery store where her duties ranged widely over the years. She made many connections and friends with people in her community and will be missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. graveside service was at 12:30 P.M. at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
