Richard John "Rich" Minchin of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He was 77 years old. Rich was born October 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late George David Minchin and the late Clara Minchin (nee - Woodcock). He is the beloved husband of the late Sandra V. Minchin; Father of Catherine Meeley and her husband Thomas. Pop pop to Elizabeth, Andrew and Matthew. Brother of George Minchin and his wife Diane and Brother in law of Kenneth Kittel and his wife the late Mary. He is also survived by 3 nieces and 5 nephews and 12 great great nieces and nephews; and three great great great nephews.

Rich was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Olney High School. He has been a resident of Rockledge for over thirty five years. Rich was a machinist in the US Navy and continued as a machinist his entire career. In his free time he enjoyed bowling.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed with military honors rendered by the United States Navy at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. G. Warren Weleck from Augustus Lutheran Church, 717 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
