David H. Tennett of Hatboro, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at his home. He was 88 years old. David was born February 13, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Wilbur Harry Tennett and the late Mary Tennett (nee - Dykes). He is the beloved husband of Diane (nee Cupitt) Tennett; father of David and his wife Lynda, Debbie, Doug, Dennis and his wife Lori, and Dale and his wife the late Betty; grandfather of 15; great grandfather of 19 (with one on the way); brother of Lynne Smith and her husband the late Roy, Alan Tennett and his wife Janice, and the late Judy Gentile. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

David was raised in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia and Horsham. He attended Lincoln High School. he worked for many years as a union plasterer and drywall finisher with District Council #21. He and Diane met at a German Club in Horsham. They were married on September 11, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Parish in Ambler, PA. David enjoyed camping, fishing, and trips to the Casino with his beloved Diane. In his free time, he was always there to assist his kids and grandkids with home projects.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. His graveside service followed at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Joseph F. Rymdeika from St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
