Anne Serbin was 101 when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and Christian role model. Anne was born on July 14, 1922 in Kitchner, Ontario, Canada.

During the 1940s Anne moved from Canada to Springfield Missouri where she worked as a bookkeeper at Central Bible Institute. She later moved to Philadelphia, working for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a bookkeeper.

Anne was married to John Serbin on April 10, 1954. She was married to John for over 46 years. An amazing mother to Mark Serbin (Deborah), Joseph Serbin (Kim), Douglas Serbin (Eydie), Wayne Serbin (Lisa), and Paul Serbin (Nancy).  She was a fully devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  The only thing she loved more than her family was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Anne was always very appreciative and grateful for many things in life. She would always tell you how grateful she was in her handwritten letters or notes typed on her typewriter. The letters and notes from Anne were written with a smile and you could pick that up with how carefully she crafted them. Her written notes were amazing documents, written with extreme details.  She also had outstanding handwriting and typing skills. Anne traveled the world through the television shows she watched every day.

Anne had a servant’s heart that touched the lives of many. Serving in the church nursery for over 30 years loving babies and toddlers. Her passion for reading kept her mind sharp. Anne especially loved her Bible. She was a real prayer warrior and woman of faith, constantly praying for those in need around her. She left behind a rich legacy of prayer and faith to her family. Mom will be deeply missed.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, beloved husband, John Serbin, and daughter Deborah Anne Serbin.
