June F. Rizzo of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was 93 years old. June was born April 26, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James Rizzo and the late Helen Rizzo (nee - Greczyn). She is the she is survived by her cousins and their families.

June was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. She grew up, and lived most of her life, on Alcott Street in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. She moved into the Philadelphia Protestant Home in 2003. During her working career, she was an underwriter for Penn Mutual Insurance Company. June was a lifelong member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She was actively involved at the Protestant Home serving in the women’s auxiliary. After her retirement she loved to travel and made it to many places around the world.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10:30 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the chapel of Philadelphia Protestant Home, 6500 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Jack Fletcher Price, pastor of Bethany United Church of Christ, 6545 Rising Sun Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Philadelphia Protestant Home Benevolent Fund, 6500 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
