Dolores May Laverty of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Friday, February 9, 2018 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. She was 88 years old. Dolores was born July 18, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James Nelson Laverty and the late Alice Beatrice Laverty (nee - Barron). She is the beloved sister of the late Alice Elizabeth Markgraf and her husband the late Robert Wallace and the late James J. Laverty. Loving aunt of the late Daniel R. Markgraf and his wife Jeanette, Nancy A. Hassell and her husband Thomas, Steven A. Markgraf and his wife Joyce Yamamoto, and Gail Labanara and her husband Howard A.; great aunt of Brandon, Douglas, Evan, Zachary, Christopher, and Elizabeth Markgraf, Michael, Andrew, and Alison Hassell; great great aunt of Liam and Elijah.

Dolores was born, raised, and educated in the Kensington section of Philadelphia where she was a member of St. Simeon Church. Dolores worked for L3 (Gould) for 46 years. She was a longtime resident of Roslyn until her retirement to Hatboro. Dolores moved to Wesley Enhanced Living in 2015. Dolores enjoyed trips to numerous casinos.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Jane McCarthy from Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland, 2815 Byberry Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.
